itSMF United Kingdom Annual Seminar 
Held on 10 - 11th Nov 2014

One of the world's biggest annual itSMF conferences was held in London 10-11th of November. The birth country of ITIL (and many other useful methodologies) gathers traditionally hundreds of ITSM practioners around Europe to share ideas together with like-minded people. Again, there was something for everyone offered in five presentation tracks. And consultants, tool vendors and trainers presenting their offerings at expo area. New connections were made, and new ideas and interest groups gathered. The biggest value of the conferences come from sharing the knowledge and building the network!

Interestingly leadership, communication and right attitude have increasingly been topics of many ITSM conferences for past few years. It seems that ITSM industry is maturing and shifting the focus little bit from processes and metrics into co-operation, leadership and user experience - which all are valuable parts of well working enterprise! In UK, the ITSM Big 4 topics for 2014 were: Back to Basics, Skills, Managing Complexity, and ITSM & Agile. During the conference, new hot topics for year 2015 were decided: Collaboration, Service management of the future (SMOF), Capability framework and Customer experience.
