colourful reading

this month's featured book

Greetings!

This month's digest is all about the colour pink. What I've discovered is the prolific increase in pink being used on women's products and branding yet there is quite a major backlash from mothers when it comes to the use of pink for little girls.

Last year I was asked to contribute a chapter for a 26 chapter colour book. It's currently being printed and I'm very excited to be getting my copy any day now. You get take a sneak peek as it's my featured book this month - Colour design: Theories and applications.

enjoy!

business interiors... how to use pink in the workplace

using your branding colours in your customer facing business interiors whether that is a store, boutique or office is a great way to build brand awareness.

this month it's all about the colour blue.

in the news... the pink backlash

little girls love the colour pink. Mothers either love it or hate it; so much so they will either buy everything for their daughter as long as it's pink or avoid it like the plague.

is pink the culprit or overzealous marketers?

business brand colour... the meaning of pink

there is a marked increase of women owned businesses choosing pink as their primary branding colour.

it is the colour of feminine love, nurturing and caring. Get the tone wrong and it takes on a completely different meaning.

business colour branding... what are you saying when you wear pink

companies who wear pink uniforms are looking to instil the feeling of being helpful in a caring, nurturing way.

this is not only to instil these feelings for their staff but for their customers too.

A message from a recent client:

"karen did the full colour analysis for my brand. what i liked is the fact that now the colours of my brand fit the values the brand stands for. karen was also brilliant at directing me to the right agency: they used her colour report to design the logo and product packaging in a flash. i also sent karen's report to my web designer so that the colour code would be reflected throughout. thank you karen!"

Wishing you a great month!
