Dear LSP supporters, Your crucial help is needed again! to protect LSP from Assembly Speaker Prieto's breaking his promise in his 2/5 press release when he and co-sponsor Sen Paul Sarlo pledged - after weeks of our opposition to any LSP language - that the new bill would clarify that the Meadowlands autonomous development commission "may only review LSP plans". But his "corrective" Assembly bill 4196 language, unconscionably and shamefully, still gives the Commission power to "approve and implement LSP plans"!!! He has a chance to do the right thing and your advocacy is vital for him, Senator sponsor Paul Sarlo (who hasn't submitted his new bill yet),the Assembly Committee & legislative leaders.
Please send our recommended one "copy and paste" email to key state legislators, and call the 2 sponsors. Hopefully, these steps will work easily for you, at this urgent time and please pass on this email's urgent message and directions to other LSP supporters.
4. If clicking on "state legislators" didn't work, here are the emails of the key legislators:

LSP will be under seige with this Governor's wanting to privatize the park and the DEP already has proposals from developers and have hung out a LSP sign to developers, "public land for rent".The new bill's language, as dangerous as the first one, will make it easier for the Meadowlands Commission to try to ramrod prviatization plans into LSP. Also on our battle page, are the bill's sponsors' 2/5 press release and many news stories and editorials.
