To get into the spirit of an early winter you really should do some winter outdoor activities. Last Friday I went ice fishing, broke through 6 inches of ice and didn't see a single fish. What happened? I pumped the water out of my little goldfish pond down to three to five inches  of water remaining, broke the ice with a hammer to rescue my little pets and couldn't find a single fish. I've had other people with goldfish tell me that when the water gets cold the fish dig into the soil almost like a hibernation. I suppose the little buggers were hiding deep between the rocks. Next year I will now be smarter and take them out earlier.

Today we started the day filling five gallon containers with wine for
 the Minneapolis HoliDazzle Market. It will be used for the mulled wine also called Gl�hwein. (pronounced Glue Vine, but it doesn't stick to your tummy, it warms your tummy!) To read more on the Holidazzle Market

Do you like Minnesota apples? We now have released our carbonated hard Apple Cider, called Minnesota Crisp. As the label says, Locally Grown/ Locally Crafted. For now it is available only by the glass at the winery, this winter it will also be sold by the bottle and wholesale by the keg. It is now added to our wine tasting list for you to try. Release pricing of $3/glass, normal price at $5/glass, we really want you to try it, you'll like it.

 Lastly Don't Miss This......
This week our second Granddaughter Lisa celebrated her second birthday. Her mom Angie wrote "few recent Lisa funnies."
When we go to a park, Lisa chants, "Big slide, big slide", because she likes going down them with her dad, Doug.
When she knows we are about to leave the house, she runs to get your shoes/purse/jacket and hands it to you, she looooves going out.
At the day care, she stops to say hi to everyone in the hall. Definitely her mama coming out.
During story time, she hands you at least two books and sits on your lap the entire time.
If she is walking up a step or carrying stuff, and she needs us, she says, "Help." If she can do it herself, she says, "I got it."
