My calendaritis struck last newsletter and I scrambled some dates! Sorry! Corrections are below. 

TODAY! Volunteer Party on the Mary! 
Come hang out and reconnect Sunday, May 6, 5-9pm, BBQ n beer on us.

Some more volunteers needed
We could use a few more people for the events below. 

May 21, 2018, will mark the 80th birthday of the MARY A. WHALEN; and in her honor, we are offering "MARY Month of May" festival of programs on and off the ship.
  • Sun 5/13 Second Sunday TankerTime: needed
  • Tue 5/15 Red Hook WaterStories: Talk w/Historian: 1 needed
  • Sun 5/20 Birthday events with artitsts and TankerTours: 3 needed!
  • Fri 5/25 Puerto Rican Red Hook Water Stories evening: 2 needed
  • Sat 5/26 1-6pm, day for Red Hook NYCHA residents: 4 needed!
  • Wed 5/30, 5-9pmAfrican American Maritime History Challenge 
Please help bring this exciting schedule to the public. There are some backstage ways to help as well:
  • Office help to reach out to sponsors and media. For the African American Maritime History Challenge, contact judges and the donors of the maritime experiences that will be the prizes. 
  • Post flyers in Red Hook
  • Help paint inside the ship
By 5/20 TankerTours, we want to finish some interior painting.  Can you help?
