163rd YMCA
Annual Meeting
Last month YMCA Buffalo Niagara honored its valued supporters and volunteers at the 163rd Annual Meeting. The event took place at the Statler and was attended by over 300 guests. That evening the Seymour H. Knox, III Youth of the Year Award was presented to eight extraordinary young adults, each representing their YMCA Branch. Also being honored were eight outstanding Branch Volunteers of the Year who truly play a vital role in helping the YMCA carry out our mission. Tapestry Charter School was the recipient of the 2015 Stewart Partnership Award being recognized for going above and beyond in their support of YMCA Buffalo Niagara. The 2015 Gold Key Award, the most distinguished volunteer award presented by the YMCA, was bestowed upon Marshall Young, for his outstanding years of service to YMCA Buffalo Niagara. The award recipient's name is kept secret until the moment of the presentation and Marshall was truly surprised to hear his name called. We'd like to congratulate all of the award recipients and thank them for their dedication to the YMCA. (Additional photos from the event can be seen on YMCA Buffalo Niagara's Facebook page.) |
