Video Library Update: Reading and the Brain

VideoLib

How an individual achieves knowledge is largely through reading.  Almost everyone knows at least one person who struggles with some aspect of reading mastery. Science has unlocked many of the mysteries and complex functions of the reading brain. Strides in brain research now explain potential causes of reading difficulties, particularly dyslexia, and can relieve fears and uncertainties about how to provide relevant and effective reading instruction.

Social media, coupled with science, can help unite our understanding of the reading brain. Reading Matters to Maine has posted an excellent video presentation by Christopher Kaufman, PhD., "A Conversation about Reading and the Brain."  Click Here to watch a 5 minute highlight video or the full 90 minute presentation.
