The Red Tap Challenge Continues

Participate in the Red Tape Challenge and help the Ontario Government identify the business regulations that need to be updated, improved or eliminated. They are currently consulting on regulations that apply to the tourism sector, but we welcome your ideas even if you work in another field.

Federal Budget

The Federal Government will table its federal budget after 4pm on February 27, 2018.  Visit our website shortly thereafter for links to that information, and stay tuned for Chamber analyses and responses.  

In partnership with BDO, a free information session is being planned for Chamber Members to discuss the Budget and its impacts. Join us on Friday, March 2nd at 8am for about an hour to learn how this year’s budget will affect our community and help us to prepare feedback to ensure business in our region is represented.  Learn more and register for the event here.

Call for Company Participants! Applications are due February 28th, 2018.

The Youth Effect program aims to provide youth (18-29) with experiential learning and training with local businesses, and focuses on fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in Northwestern Ontario. Youth will be carefully selected and matched with a local business based on interest, skill, and need. They will work together over the course of 15 weeks (May 8th – August 18th) on a clearly identified project and achieving milestones.
