You don't need 500 days of it to know it's the best time of year. Hell, here in Boston, we're lucky if we get a hondo supply of warm seasonal bliss. But we're smack dab in the middle of a wonderful Allston Summer, and the pill rides it out with another all-night dance party tomorrow night at Great Scott.
The basics: DJ Ken + I spinning the dance party, you on the dance floor having a good time. Care-free, no pressure, easy like a Sunday morning while TI sings Whatever You Like right into your sweet sensitive ear. Summer. It fucking rules.

July 20: Allston Summer
All-night modern indie dance party with the pill's resident DJs, Ken + Michael V
 A bookend of back-to-back live performances this summer sandwiches one creamy all-night dance party center.
So while we're still licking our live wounds after sterling stage takes from the likes of Team Spirit and Orca Orca, we now at the pill roll out four straight weeks of all night dance parties before a late-August double-shot from Allston dance machine Color Channel and the pop noise of Velah.
That means pill residents DJ Ken & Michael V will take center stage and top billing as Allston cruises through its best time of year, a warn misty raindance of student-free celebrations and all-night outdoor patios hangtimes.
With a relatively new crowd rolling through Great Scott every Friday, we've been shaking up the playlist, mixing in future anthems from St. Etienne, Trust, Reverend & The Makers, Icona Pop, Dragonette, Birds Escape, Passion Pit, Stepdad, Tanlines, People At Parties, Sunset Hearts, Miniature Tigers, Grimes, and all sorts of ill indie shit that soundtracks our Fridays of dancing, drinking, and screwing.
