There has been a lot happening in the tranSMART community in the past two weeks, we:

- issued the first patch to the platform using our new patch release process
- released the first Virtual Machine Images for the v1.2 platform
- launched our new branding for the Foundation
- updated our website
- began a weblog
- improved our identity on Twitter and LinkedIn
The Foundation is now turning our attention to our Foundation Annual Meeting that will be hosted by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor from October 14th through 16th. We have developed an exciting agenda of speakers, which will focus not only on our platform, but also include other open-source projects that we can learn from and with which we can interact. We will also be offering our first Foundation sponsored training program in collaboration with Rancho Biosciences. Click here to register. I look forward to seeing you there.
