Join me in May for an intimate exploration of Porchetta and all things porky!

Join me and wine expert Barbara D'Agapiti for 4 nights and 3 days as we explore some of the off the beaten path towns, wineries and eclectic cooks as well as spending the day at the Porchettiamo festival in the medieval town of San Tereziano tasting various porchetta stands, drinking sagrantino wine, visiting wineries and an historic brewery in fabulous Perugia.  We will also include a porchetta making workshop as well hands on cooking class with Letizia the owner of the agriturismo we stay at.  We will dine and stroll exploring enoteccas and simple trattorias as well as pottery shops and a fabulous antique paper making atelier in the base of an ancient roman colosseum in the town of Bevagna.  We will meet and sample with some of the areas finest norcini and salumi makers and experience this little known region that remains well off the beaten path for most tourists, travelers and general visitors.  May in Umbria is heaven as the fields are alive with wildflowers, the sun is warm but not yet too hot and the days are long. We will be staying at the Madonna dell Piatto cooking school, a place recognized in National Geographic's 500 places to eat in the world and located in the serene hills near Assisi.  All meals, accommodation and transportation included in the price which is 1350 euros per person.  For a detailed itinerary and booking information please email [email protected]
