Dr. Anne Prisco appointed as Sixth President of Holy Family University
The Holy Family University Board of Trustees announced that Dr. Anne M. Prisco has been appointed as the sixth president and first lay president of Holy Family University, effective July 12, 2021.

Dr. Prisco has dedicated herself to advancing higher education and student success. Over the course of her impressive career, Dr. Prisco has served as an administrator, faculty member, researcher and consultant.

From 2012-2020, Dr. Prisco served at Felician University (then Felician College), where she was also their first lay leader. Dr. Prisco successfully led Felician through a transformational period. Felician is now thriving with record-breaking increases in enrollment and improvements in student success, a focus on inclusive excellence, shared governance, new partners, programs, growing net revenue and continued facilities enhancements. Tigers on the Loose - Tickets Now on Sale!
The entire Holy Family community is invited to Tigers on the Loose, the University’s Annual Scholarship Celebration, on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. 

Proceeds from Tigers on the Loose support student financial aid. The generosity of attendees and sponsors provides scholarships that allow current and future tigers, many the first in their families, to pursue a higher education at Holy Family and realize their dreams of being a teacher, scientist, entrepreneur, nurse, artist, or attorney.

Remembering Sister Francesca Onley, CSFN, '59, PhD

Alumni and friends from around the world paid their respects to Holy Family's former President, Sister Francesca Onley, CSFN, '59, PhD, who was laid to rest on Sunday, April 25 in a live-streamed ceremony.

During her 32 year tenure (1981-2014), Sister Francesca grew Holy Family from a liberal arts college to a university. She oversaw multiple capital projects and new buildings, a second campus in Newtown, international friendships and partnership agreements, and new programs ranging from criminal justice to doctoral studies in education. She was a a Sister of the Holy Family of Nazareth for 71 years.

Holy Family University’s Alumni Association is pleased to announce the 2020 & 2021 Alumni Achievement Award recipients: Lieutenant Commander Ellie (Hopkins) Bracken ’80, Rita (Seeger) Jablonski ’86, PhD, Jerry Wydro ’90, MD, Roger Falloon ’97, Ted Qualli ’00, Lieutenant Colonel Barbara McCormick ’03, M’07 DNP and Dennis Kilfeather ’05, M’11. The recipients will be honored during the virtual Alumni Reunion on Saturday, May 22, 2021

  • Dr. Dian He, Associate Professor of Chemistry at Holy Family, received the 2021 School of Arts and Sciences Award for Teaching Excellence for his extraordinary efforts in training Holy Family faculty on teleconferencing platforms and hardware in order to help make the Fall 2020 semester a better virtual experience for students and faculty.



  • Maria Bernarda Duarte M’15 published her first children’s book, Billy the Bully Bear, on February 9 with Newman Springs Publishing, a book publisher based in Red Bank, New Jersey. Read about her journey to authorship here.

  • All are invited to enjoy Holy Family Art Gallery's Spring 2021 Senior Exhibition, featuring work and artist statements from Matthew Briscella '21, Sabrina DeOliveira '21, Alexandra Lipscomb '21, and Kalyn McCann '21.



  • The Social and Behavioral Sciences Association (SBSA) hosted the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk, sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), to raise awareness of suicide and mental health issues.

  • A team of multi-disciplinary faculty members at Holy Family, including Drs. Alexa Bonacquisti, Jennifer DeCicco, Patrick McElwaine ’00, M’04, and Kristin Sagedy, are researching the mental health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research study is currently recruiting adult participants living in the U.S. to complete an online survey. Read more and take the survey here

  • Greg Pellegrino, Director of Sports Information at Holy Family, is being recognized for his outstanding contributions to HFU and service to the Eastern Athletic Communications Association (East-Comm) and his community with the 2021 Bob Kenworthy Award.
