BINGO, ANYONE?

Proyecto Raíces, in partnership with First Serve, invites you to a lively Lotería Night Fundraiser this Tuesday, April 7 at 6 pm! (If you've never heard of Lotería before, it's a Mexican game of chance similar to American Bingo but uses vibrant images instead of numbers.)

Enjoy traditional Lotería games, drinks, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and exciting prizes. Midway through the evening, we’ll honor three outstanding individuals making a difference in the Hispanic/Latine community. Every ticket supports Proyecto Raíces and the programs that uplift and enrich our community. Come for the games, stay for the connection, and leave knowing you’ve made an impact!

First Serve's third annual Day of Giving will be Monday, June 1, 2026.

Last year, you generously helped us meet our goal of raising $20,000 for First Serve, which helped fund dozens of projects for our Annual Day of Service in September. We are hoping to raise another $20,000 this year in order to purchase the cleaning supplies, paint, building materials, food, and other items needed to make a positive impact on the North Hill Community.

Thank you for your continued support of First Serve, and for considering this giving opportunity to further our mission of building hope through relationships.

Lotería with Proyecto Raíces

Tuesday, April 7 at 6 pm

We're looking for volunteers to help at this fun event (see above for details). Volunteers are needed to decorate, sell raffle tickets, serve food and clean up after the event.

Spring Dinner & Egg Hunt: On April 8, First Serve, United Way and Akron Public Schools will sponsor a Spring Dinner and Egg Hunt for the North Hill Community. Please consider helping with this event. We need volunteers for setting up, serving and running the egg hunt. Click here to help.

School Store: Help students select prizes in the school store as part of an incentive program rewarding positive behavior in school. Volunteers are needed for morning shifts (8:30-10 am) and afternoon shifts (11 am - 2 pm). Sign up here.
