Yoga for Bone Health, Osteoporosis & Arthritis

Join physical therapist and Yoga teacher Amelia Chang for a therapeutic Yoga workshop for bone health!  You'll learn:


  • Do's and Don'ts: Movements that are safe and movements to avoid in Yoga and daily life
  • Perform 12 key Yoga poses to help improve strength, balance and bone health
  • Strength and conditioning exercises using the sport-band
  • Reduce the effects of aging spine & risk of falling
  • Learn how to adapt poses to your level of experience or physical limitations
  • Begin a regular home practice

 

All levels incl. beginners and Yoga teachers are welcome!


Fee: $45 pre-reg. by May 28; $50 thereafter


Dr. Amelia Cantor Chang, DPT, E-RYT 

Amelia brings a wealth of experience to make the practice of Yoga accessible to those with physical limitations. As a Dr. of Physical Therapy, Amelia is in a unique position to offer combined Yoga Therapeutics in the Iyengar tradition and physical rehabilitation or injury-prevention. Her workshops and classes are geared towards topics on Health Aging, with use of Yoga Wall and props.
