PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Greetings NTMCA Members!

As my time as NTMCA President is coming to an end, I want to thank each of you for allowing me to serve you as your chapter president. Our association has been through so much this year. We have fought through and continue to fight through a pandemic, with illness, isolation, disappointment, uncertainty, and sadness with the loss of many of our friends and loved ones. As an association, we have supported and will continue to support each other through these trying and challenging times. I am so thankful for each one of you. You have been an encouragement to me. I have learned much in this role. It has been a development opportunity that is priceless. If you have not had the opportunity to serve as an officer, I encourage you to consider this type of service to each other through our association. You will increase your knowledge, confidence, and leadership abilities. It is so worth it!

In the meantime, you are left in very capable hands. Be sure to reach out and congratulate our incoming NTMCA Officers: President Christine Green, University Park; Vice-President Lindsay Wells, Euless; Treasurer Alice Holloway, Joshua; Secretary Art Camacho, Haltom City; Historian Shelley Scazzero, Hudson Oaks.
MEETING RECAP
What a great time we had at the August meeting! It was so nice to join the Lone Star Chapter for some fun and fellowship. A big thank you to TMCA President Aimee Nemer for hosting in her city – Richardson. President Nemer shared what was new at the State level and information about the Advanced Institute in Galveston. See below for updates and enjoy the photos.

Lastly, TMCA has 145 new members! We now have 1066 members statewide!
NTMCA had a great turnout at the Legislative Update Seminar in San Marcos last month! There were constant cancellations, changes, and challenges. Alan Bojorquez, Managing Attorney for the Bojorquez Law Firm, did a fantastic job! He and his staff went to great lengths to make sure we had informative sessions and great speakers. In addition, our TMCA staff worked through similar challenges, and you would never know it! Please take the time to reach out and thank them. Enjoy the pictures below; I apologize in advance that we were unable to locate everyone to snap a photo.
Kindness Korner encouragement for September.

Well, this is it… The last Kindness Korner. I sure have enjoyed it! I hope you have too!

Have a Super September!

Sincerely,
Traci Henderson, President
