YOU SHOWED UP...AND YOU WERE AMAZING!

To say we are grateful is an understatement.

Like every year, our volunteers were ALL IN on First Serve Day of Service. Over 560 of you worked on a whopping 62 projects at 15 sites around the North Hill neighborhood of Akron.

You painted, landscaped, beautified, cooked, built, organized, cleaned and encouraged. And most important...you worked alongside one another, strengthening relationships and building hope with our faith and community partners, and North Hill neighbors.

A special thanks to Dr. Christina González Alcalá, who started our day by delivering an incredibly inspiring and heartfelt message at our interfaith sending service held Sunday morning.

Thank you to everyone who had a part in making our 15th Day of Service a success. The day was nothing short of amazing, thanks to all of YOU.

Be Part of the Akron Marathon Without Breaking a Sweat

Another important ingredient to making First Serve Day of Service happen is, of course, funding.

First Serve is proud to be a Blue Line Charity Partner of the Akron Marathon Race Series again this year. As such, First Serve is eligible to receive funds from any volunteers or runners who choose to fundraise as part of their involvement in the race.

First Serve is responsible for providing 50 volunteers to work at two hydration stations along the route. We still need 40 people! It's fun, it's super-easy, and it's inspiring to watch runners strive to reach their goals! Please consider signing up to help using the link below.
