Dear Aiken Democrats,

February invites us to reflect on the history that shaped us and the hope that drives us forward. The strength of our party has always come from dedicated people like you — neighbors, volunteers, and advocates who continue to show up, speak out, and work for a more just and inclusive Aiken County. Your commitment proves that local action still has the power to create meaningful change.

This month, we also pause to honor two remarkable leaders: Beverly D. Clyburn, whose lifelong service as an educator and public servant has profoundly impacted our community, and Rev. Raymonda Speller, whose faith, compassion, and steadfast leadership continue to inspire us all. Their legacies remind us that one person’s dedication can uplift an entire community.

As we move forward together, let us stay united, hopeful, and determined. The work we do today lays the foundation for tomorrow’s progress.

Join us for our February Monthly Meeting

Together we will celebrate Black History Month and honor the legacy of social justice and community empowerment that aligns with ACDP’s mission.

You're also invited to experience the powerful “Unforgettable” Cecil Williams Photography Exhibit.

Enjoy refreshments, connect with special guests, and engage in meaningful conversation.

We look forward to celebrating and building the future together!

Join our new candidate, Darnell Holston for a Community Listening Session

Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 17th at 6:30 pm at the Better World Studios in Graniteville.

This is your opportunity to discuss the issues that are important to you in House District 84.

Next Week: Join President Biden in Columbia, SC

On February 28, 2020, Joe Biden won the South Carolina Democratic Presidential Primary and went on to win the 2020 Presidential election and serve as our 46th President.

President Biden’s decisive victory in the South Carolina primary put our nation on a path toward historic investments in infrastructure, job creation, and economic stability.

We are honored to have President Biden join us in Columbia on Friday, February 27, to commemorate his pivotal primary victory and to thank him for a lifetime of public service, and we would love for you to join us.

This reception is about honoring President Biden while also doing the very practical work of preparing for what’s next. The funds raised will directly support candidate recruitment, voter engagement, and the infrastructure we need to compete statewide in 2026 and beyond.

We Need You to Run for Office

Aiken County will have several key local and state races on the ballot in 2026. If public service has been on your mind, now is the time to reach out and start the conversation.

Whether you’re considering a city seat, a county office, school board, or a state legislative race, contact the Aiken County Democratic Party to learn more about the process, expectations, and the support available for first-time candidates.

If you’re even thinking about running, (Filing begins March 16) reach out to us:
