LIVE with TMJ4
Wed Feb 16 | Noon | Facebook

TODAY Vice Chancellor for Advancement Willie Jude II will be the featured guest today on “Lunch with Carole Meekins,” a Facebook Live chat hosted every Wednesday by TMJ4 Anchor Carole Meekins.

“Lunch with Carole Meekins,” is an informal conversation that features local leaders whom the Emmy award-winning anchor finds inspiring. The main aim is to highlight the work of individuals who are change agents within their communities. Today’s chat will focus on Vice Chancellor Jude’s work and accomplishments as an African American vice chancellor and why he’s invested in uplifting southeastern Wisconsin. Meekins will also explore how Jude applies his sports background to his current role.

“I am delighted to share Mr. Jude with the public. He certainly is an important role model,” she said. “We need strong, intelligent Black men in the forefront during these challenging times.”

UPDATES AND INFORMATION
Dean James Takes on Dubai!

Dean Peggy James, of the College of Social Sciences and Professional Studies, was recently in Dubai for the World Expo 2020 focusing on Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.

Here is what Dean James has to say about her experience:

"The future of data and digital technology is now. The Dubai world expo, with 192 country pavilions demonstrates that the digital age is upon us, from Germany to Kazakhstan to Algeria. Drones are delivering medicine to rural areas of Africa, Germany is developing tractors that use lasers to eradicate weeds rather than pesticides, Denmark is using air to make synthetic methane to make coffee.

And, for those of us in education- which of course is ALL of us- the medium for learning is immersive technology with an objective for seamless human-machine interaction. Throw away your smelly markers, and go get an Oculus!"

Types of student presentations to choose from (can be more than one):
