Freshwater Collaborative of Wisconsin Commits $88,600 in Funding to Bolster Student Training and Workforce Development at UW-Parkside

Projects Will Help Address Statewide Water Challenges

The Freshwater Collaborative of Wisconsin has committed to investing more than $4.2 million in funding for the current biennium (FY26 and FY27) to support water education and water research programs that will bolster Wisconsin’s water workforce for years to come.

The 19 new projects involve faculty, staff, and students from all 13 Universities of Wisconsin, as well as dozens of partners from industry, government, local communities, tribal nations, nonprofits, and K-12 education. They will increase research and training opportunities for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students and will address Wisconsin’s biggest water challenges. UW-Parkside will receive $88,600 this biennium for three different projects.

First Town Hall of the Semester

We will be kicking off our first Town Hall for the Fall 2025 semester today (9/24) at noon in Bedford Concert Hall. If you would like to join virtually instead you can join with the link below.

Student Accessibility Services New Location

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is now located in the Student Health and Counseling Center located near Tallent Hall. Administrative Assistant, Teri Reisenauer, is still coordinating exams along with providing support to the clinical staff in the clinic.

Due to these changes, SAS will need exams no later than 2:00 pm the day prior to any exam being proctored by SAS and scheduled in the Testing Center in the Library (WYLL 3rd Floor).

SAS can now send an email to instructional staff alerting them to log into Accommodate to see the accommodation letters for students. Below is a sample email instructors will get from uwp@accommodate-symplicity.com
