From August 25th to 27th, Embassy Suites in Concord will host this bone-chilling event that guarantees a thrilling journey for both horror enthusiasts and those seeking an adrenaline rush. In its third year, the Mad Monster Expo is more than a convention; it’s a celebration of the horror community itself.

August 17th is National Nonprofit Day, So We’re Highlighting the New Nonprofit Center Located in Downtown Concord.
Recently, the City of Concord opened the Downtown Concord Nonprofit Center on the lowest level of the former City Annex building, located at the corner of Barbrick Avenue and Union Street. The City aims to provide ample opportunities for smaller and newer nonprofits to establish their presence by initially limiting the number of office spaces per applicant.
Concord City Manager Lloyd Payne emphasizes the importance of this collaboration, stating, "They are vital to delivering services and goods to our citizens and, as such, deserve an affordable office space for their administrative functions." By offering an environment conducive to growth and collaboration, the City of Concord is taking a significant stride towards empowering nonprofits to maximize their impact.

🔥🏎️ Sparks will fly as the metal-mashing, 2,000-horsepower machines of the Circle K Monster Truck Bash return to The Dirt Track at Charlotte for a night of high-flying action on Saturday, August 19th. 🎟️👨👧👦 Adult tickets are $35 and kid tickets $10. Gates open at 4:30pm for the 🎪 Pit Party which includes Monster Truck rides, inflatable slides, bounce houses, an autograph session, food and souvenirs! Opening ceremony is scheduled for 6:45pm.
