Cheri Helt
Business and Leaders Luncheon Oct 19th features Labor Commission candidate Cheri Helt, featured above, and Christina Stephansen. Unfortunately, Stephansen changed her mind about attending our chamber event and many others. She will miss the opportunity to meet Gresham Oregon business leaders.
Congrats to Samuel and Claire Lider, US World Class Taekwondo. They train people to focus and breaking boards is often the case. They are “breaking” in yet another way. They have expanded their corporate footprint and have started two new businesses. After persevering through covid, it is reassuring to see entrepreneurs succeed and use their skills to grow.
The Family Paid Leave law is rapidly approaching. Take full advantage of the learning opportunities. This law may change the benefits businesses currently offer employees. Northwest Accounting Partners might be affected by the law. Are you? Below are two links that will help you navigate through the upcoming changes.

The most important service you should have performed regularly on your vehicle is an oil change. Clean oil (that is the weight and viscosity recommended by the manufacturer), is the best oil you can keep in your car. Regular oil changes keep it clean.

Experience Harvest Season in Oregon
đź“· : Sally McAleer
Oregon is so much more than Fuji and Gala apples (but plenty of those, too) — you’ll find dozens and dozens of juicy heirloom and new varieties across the state. Mt. Hood’s Kiyokawa Family Orchards grows about 150 varieties. Pear, the state fruit, also debuts this time of year, from buttery Bartlett to super-sweet Comice to Bosc with hints of spice. You can pick up fruit at historic orchards along the Hood River Fruit Loop, in the Tualatin Valley, in the Willamette Valley, in Southern Oregon and beyond. Many farms, like Thomas Orchards in Kimberly, sell preserves like jams or pickles, too.
