Route 66 Centennial Celebration

Thur, June 4th / Santa Monica Pier / 4-8PM / Free

Santa Monica welcomes Texas to the iconic End of the Trail on the Santa Monica Pier for the Route 66 Centennial celebration.

Cheer on the Chiefs of Police and Fire as they attempt to eat a 72 oz steak for the legendary steak challenge.

The event will also have live country music, line dancing, kids activities, classic cars from Petersen Automotive Museum, and the debut of Santa Monica Brew Works’ End of the Trail Pale Ale.

Free and open to all. Come raise a glass where Route 66 meets the Pacific.

Beach House Sunset Picnic: Route 66 Edition

Sunset Picnics are back at the Beach House! It's the first event of the summer, featuring a special Route 66 theme. Inspired by the spirit of the open road, this evening brings a touch of classic Americana to the coast.

Bring your own picnic and enjoy a relaxed night by the ocean. Come with friends, family, or on your own and join a communal table.

There's live music, ocean views, complimentary s’mores (while supplies last) & board games, featured Route 66–inspired activities including playful races, a community push-pin travel map, and hands-on crafts like designing your own mini car.

Summer SOULstice Festival & Block Party

Main Street shuts down to cars for one massive summer block party featuring live music, Roadhouse Beer Garden, free activations and activities for kids.

Experience live music on two stages featuring Noble Creatures, This Whole Time, Westside Crew, and Petty Theft.

Route 66 Roadhouse Beer Garden ticket includes tastings from Santa Monica Brew Works, Sokē & Soula, a JuneShine & access to VIP kids’ area with bounce house.

Santa Monica's new Entertainment Zone allows you to grab your drinks to-go from participating bars and restaurants as you walk the festival.

Santa Monica Pier 360 Beach Festival

Santa Monica Pier 360 Beach Festival celebrates the ultimate SoCal beach lifestyle with a free, all-ages day of fun at the iconic pier. From ocean sports competitions and live music to food, drinks, games, and brand activations, the festival brings together thousands for nonstop beachside energy. Whether with family or friends, guests can enjoy the best of Santa Monica.

Calling all athletes! There will be some epic competition through a variety of disciplines on sand and sea, including paddleboard races, ocean swims, beach volleyball, skateboarding, and strongman competitions.
