Get Future Ready: Career & College Expo

All students and families in St. Tammany Parish are invited to attend and visit with representatives from a wide variety of colleges, universities, technical colleges, apprenticeships, military and business and industry partners.


The expo will occur Tuesday, October 7th at the Harbor Center in Slidell and on Wednesday, October 8th at the Castine Center in Mandeville. Both events will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Go Gold Day

To help raise awareness for children facing cancer, we are asking students and staff across our district to Go Gold on September 26th.

Schools Closed October 2nd for Fall Break

New for the 2025-2026 school year: STPPS schools will be closed on Thursday, October 2nd for Fall Break. Schools will also be closed the following day on Friday, October 3rd for Parish Fair Day.

Mark Your Calendar: The St. Tammany Parish Fair Returns October 1st–5th

The St. Tammany Parish Fair has celebrated community and tradition since 1910, making it the second-oldest fair in Louisiana. Families and friends can enjoy livestock shows, arts and crafts exhibits, the cheer/dance competition, and thrilling rodeo action. With live music, carnival rides, delicious food, and unique vendors, the fair is the perfect place to make lasting memories.

13 STPPS Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

We are proud to announce that thirteen St. Tammany Parish Public School students have been named 2026 National Merit Semifinalists!


These students, who are ranked among the highest performing high school students in the state and the top one percent in the nation, will compete for prestigious National Merit Scholarships later this school year.

Excellence Award

Superintendent Jabbia is recognizing outstanding individuals and groups in 2025-26 with Excellence Award Medals for their dedication to inspiring, preparing, and propelling every student toward a future full of possibilities! 


Congratulations to the honorees so far this year: five outstanding teachers from Brock Elementary, SWE Para Beckie Adams of Sloan Middle, and SWE Teacher Erika Izzio of Mayfield Elementary.
