Dear Friend,
El Naranjo, México to Atlanta, Georgia. My name is Manuel Trejo, and that’s the journey I’ve made almost 50 times over the past nine years to support my family. In March 2020, I crossed the U.S./México border for the last time and was able to bring my wife and children to Atlanta with me, thanks to the Latin American Association (LAA) and supporters like you.
While the U.S. was coming to terms with the COVID-19 pandemic in the middle of March, I was overjoyed because my family’s petition for permanent residency was approved. This time I would not be sad as I left México; my family was finally coming home with me!
Without the LAA I wouldn’t be with my family today. LAA staff spent countless hours - no days - meeting with me to complete our application, ensure my family’s sponsorship, and ultimately gain approval of our petition.
