CELEBRATE Lake City's 150th birthday in 2022!

LCAA EVENT

Enjoy the band-LP & 45’s at the Sportsman’s Club on February 5th from 6-10pm for this Lake City Area Arts fundraising event. This classic hits band from Rochester, which pays tribute to the pioneers of pop, rock, country, rockabilly, and soul by covering some of their greatest hits. WinterStüff it is!

Ok, your first question is probably, “What the heck does WinterStüff mean???” Well, in a sense, WinterStüff is a state of mind as much as it is a made up word!

It’s a state of mind that says, “get outside and enjoy the Minnesota winter with other folks who share similar interests and have a great time doing so!” That’s why Lake City invites all to come visit us for 4 February Saturdays of outdoor fun, bonfires, ice golf, food and beverages, and FUN, FUN, FUN! Y-Knot Tri Triathlon

We are excited to announce the collaboration with a group of local community members to hold the first annual Lake City Y-Knot Tri Triathlon. It will be held at Ohuta Park on Saturday, August 13th, 2022. The event will consist of a 2.5 mile paddle on beautiful Lake Pepin, a 14 mile bike ride on a there and back route to Frontenac, and a 5K run along the river side. Registration is now open. Vintage Snowmobile Ride

Wells Creek Riders Vintage Snowmobile Show & Ride is back for 2022. Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 26th & join them at our NEW LOCATION, the Lake City Golf Course. Raffle tickets are available for $10/ticket (need not be present to win) - contact a club member for your chance to win prizes! More info here!

Sportsman's Ice Fishing Contest

The Lake City Sportsman's Club will host their annal ice fishing contest on Saturday, February 19th. There will be several events throughout the day with the kids fishing contest kicking off the day at 11am and the main contest starting at 1pm. For more information visit thier facebook page here.

Celebrate School Bus Drivers

Minnesota School Bus Driver Appreciation Day will be celebrated on February 23rd. With the shortage of school bus drivers, Doug and Cara Grisim want this community to know just how valuable all these humble heroes are who fill this important role in our community. Please help Bluff Country Paint the town YELLOW the week of Feb 21- 25th to show your support in the store fronts or on your signs.

Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) is recruiting businesses for a new cohort of the Prosperity Initiative program. Exciting news from the 150th Committe

The Lake City 150th Celebration Committee, the LCAA, and the Lake City Photography Club bring you the Snap Shot of LC. This event is open through February at the Lake City Area Arts Center. Also, the Incorporation Day will be celebrated on February 26th at the Lake City High School. Historic displays will be set up in the foyer for people to browse before and after the program. The program will begin in the auditorium at 2:00. At 4:30 in the afternoon bells will ring throughout Lake City to note our incorporation date. Please join in by ringing your own bell at 4:30.
