"The fire has its flame and praises God. And the word, when heard, praises God. So all of creation is a song of praise to God."
- St. Hildegard of Bingen
In 2012, Pope Benedict XVI declared St. Hildegard a Doctor of the Church. She died on September 17, 1179 and was an abbess and founder of a Benedictine convent, as well as a musician, poet and doctor. An amazing person who received visions at an early age, she preached throughout the Rhineland--present day Germany--and her message reached well beyond the region. "Within the cosmos, human beings are the thinking heart, called to be cocreators with God in shaping the world." Let it be splendid!
Tonight is Curriculum Night
We look forward to seeing parents and guardians at tonight's Curriculum Night beginning at 6pm in the gym. This is for adults to hear from their child's teacher about important information for the upcoming school year. There will be two sessions offered for those with more than one student.
Peace,
Mrs. Farewell
