Upcoming ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Friday, November 12, 2021, during the Friday AM Networking event, we will be holding the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Meeting. On the agenda is the election of new board members. Join us!
2021 Gresham Area Business Excellence Awards
The holiday season is shaping up to be fun, very active and full of opportunities to give.  Bess from Gresham Ford and Kayla from Sugar Cubed (and President of the Historic Downtown Gresham Business Association) are partnering with others to make sure businesses have ample opportunity to involve customers and the community.  Give, shop, enjoy.   Watch for all they have planned. Check out the chamber or their business websites for details.
Sam and Claire of U.S. World Class Taekwondo invited their staff to the Business Excellence Awards to celebrate with them. A “staff party”. Looking for someplace to celebrate the holidays with your staff? Many of our members are offering special deals, meals, and locations to help you. For example Nanna’s Place is open to rent for private parties after hours. Let’s stay local with all of our activities and shopping.
Federal Covid Vaccine Mandates
Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued an emergency temporary standard (ETS) to protect unvaccinated employees of large employers (100 or more employees) from the risk of contracting COVID-19 by strongly encouraging vaccination. State regulations are being considered. Businesses with 50 or more employees are being considered.
Oregon Toll Road Program Progress
Next week, elected officials, business and community leaders, local and regional agency staff will be exploring congestion pricing in the Portland Metro area at two workshops hosted by the Oregon Department of Transportation Urban Mobility Office.
Fall Chamber Expo
These two are excited for the Fall Expo tomorrow and you should be too! It's a great opportunity to meet the newest additions to the Chamber and network with local business owners and operators.

TRAVEL OREGON
ASTORIA: This coastal city seems like it was plucked right out of a storybook

With Victorian-era homes etched into hills overlooking the Columbia River, this picturesque settlement (the oldest west of the Rockies) is a port city with Scandinavian flavor. Surrounded by forests, boasting three rivers and situated a stone’s throw away from the Pacific, Astoria is a fishing village-meets-Victoriana, chockablock with forts, museums and great local brews.
