As good as Fred Astaire was, Ginger Rogers did the same as he did, but backwards and in heels. The same, but harder to do.

We're partial to Bob Fosse, but we think our new store hours are sort of like Ginger Rogers' part. Harder to do.

At Hip Stitch, we're willing to work longer and harder to serve your creative needs.

More days & more hours to better serve YOU!

NOW open
10 to 5
Monday through Saturday
Sundays noon to 5

If you need to shop outside these hours, give a call -
we'll make room on our dance card if we can.
Sorry, Gene Kelly.
A scary number of buildings "skip" the thirteenth floor. Their elevators go from 12 to 14.

It may be that our elevators don't go to the top floor, but that won't stop us from celebrating.

Our paltry reason this time?
The store's 13th birthday!

Join us, on Saturday, July 24th as Hip Stitch becomes a teenager.

It'll be a lucky day for you because there will be drawings and door prizes and refreshments and even sale prices for the pennywise.
There might even be a clown. Or at least the mirthful Hip Stitch crew, which is pretty darn close.

Make a purchase and you will receive a raffle ticket. Every day from Monday July 26th through Friday July 30th, we'll be drawing our random numbered half of the raffle ticket (your half will be stapled to your receipt) and you'll stand to win a $100 gift certificate.

No, you can't get a Featherweight for 20 percent off ...)

We're bringing back Craft Night!
4th Friday of the month
(unless it falls on a holiday, in which case, we'll be holiday-ing)
Starts in July. Let's get to know one another again!

Chicken or Veal, sure ... but cats?
If those were birds, much chattering might be about to happen. Don't know what cats do when they see bats. This one seems content just to watch.

Black Cat Capers by Andrea Tachiera for Northcott consists of a panel and five festive fabrics, two with felines. If you're looking for a quick and relatively easy Halloween project, we've got this kitted, but running yardage, too.

Get in the Spirit
This quilt is ready for Halloween. Are you?

Tim Holtz fabrics from the Regions Beyond line, make up the Lightning Strikes Quilt Kit. It uses fat quarters from the whole collection, but if you like the pattern, you're looking for the Purple Pineapple postcard pattern of the same name.

Gorgeous Watercolor Batiks
We've got an assortment of colors. These are true batiks, so no repeat, just colors blending together or varying tones of monochromatic color.

Fabrics for Pre-order
Gingiber "Words to Live By"
The blocks on this panel measure about 11 by 11. The rest of the collection features poppies along with interesting geometrics and botanical prints.

If you (or somebody you know) needs a bit of inspiration or encouragement start right here.

It's beginning to look
a lot like Halloween ...
Full Moon

Reminiscent of Ruby Star Society graphics (which themselves are reminiscent of early Warhol commercial work) this new line is up for pre-order now.

Designed by Helen Black of Cinnamon Joe Studio in England. This modernist take on fall and Halloween themes is a fresh, new look that will pair nicely with the more nostalgic themes found in the Tim Holtz collection.

Get in the spirit
See it in Sound ...
Mexican pop impresario Esquivel might have appreciated these digitally printed, high fidelity color prints. (Here's the Peanut Vendor from his 1960 "See it in Sound" album.)

The collection features several blenders, a panel and blocks. Shown here NOT to scale.

Rock Bottom Remainders ...
Relieve the misery of our overstocked remnant basket. Hobble in or check it out online. We're not clowning around, we've hammered the prices on these cuts, so be pennywise and take all you can carrie of these needful things, or at least all that you take a shining to.

(We'll be your number one fan if you do ... and that's not a Caan-job.)

From Jeremi's Workshop:
Heading to a new home ...
That's not to say that it is a New Home. Totally different make. Nope, this Featherweight, in metallic blue with "Red Eye" decals is looking spiffy and heading to a forever home.

Congrats to all who knew that The KLF might stand for Kopyright Liberation Front. The leaders of the group disavowed that it stood for anything, but that was the answer we were looking for. As Picasso is supposed to have said, "Good artists borrow. Great artists steal."

Just in case ...
Your Featherweight, painted or not, will be snug as a bug in a rug in these soft cases.

Select from two colors, red or black. It is tough cordura nylon with a pockets on either side for pedal and accessories.

Place your order now, we're expecting delivery in the next two weeks. One of each color is in store now if you just can't wait.
