July 5, 2022
Hi There!

The increase in fraud cases is alarming. The Federal Trade Commission received fraud reports from more than 2.8 million consumers last year, up from 2.1 million in 2020.

And, consumers reported losing more than $5.8 billion to fraud in 2021, an increase of more than 70 percent over the previous year.

It is more important than ever to safely destroy and dispose of sensitive and outdated documents, and reduce your vulnerability to financial fraud.

This is why SKP's Shredding Day is back! Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 17, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. A shredding truck will be at our office parking lot ready to shred any amount of documents you bring. More details will be shared soon.

Thank you, and the SKP team wishes you a safe and enjoyable July 4th weekend.

2022 Standard Mileage Rate Increases
Business owners are aware that the price of gas is historically high, which has made their vehicle costs rise. The average nationwide price of a gallon of unleaded regular gas on June 29 was $4.87, compared with $3.10 a year earlier, according to the AAA Gas Prices website. A gallon of diesel averaged $5.78 a gallon, compared with $3.24 a year earlier.

Fortunately, the IRS is providing some relief. You will see increases in the 2022 standard mileage rate starting July 1, 2022.
