New Brews

Conclave

Conclave Brewing

Petals, Wild Sour Ale (6% ABV) - This beer was brewed with our friends at The Seed back in May 2019. It was fermented in French Oak where it rested for 19 months. We bottled it in December 2020, and it's been conditioning ever since. Golden amber in color, low carbonation, with a funky flavor profile: Earthy, sour, sweet tart, barnyard, oak. A limited supply is available in the taproom while it lasts.

Descendants

Descendants Brewing Company

Exit the Dragon (6.3% ABV) - Ancient Welsh Red Ale named in honor of Y Draig Goch…the Red Dragon of Wales. Deep red, malty, and bringing hints of winter spice + smoke.

Highrail Brewing

Apricot Sour (4.9% ABV) - Our newest sour ale dosed with apricot puree and lightly hopped with Vic Secret. It’s the pro-brunch beer we’ve all been waiting for. 8 IBU. Available on tap and for growler and crowler fills.

Lone Eagle

Lone Eagle Brewing

Barrel Aged Cocoa Express (10.5% ABV) - This rich, roasty Imperial Stout was aged for over a year in Bourbon barrels. A complex recipe of specialty malts was complemented by melting real Chocolate shavings into the kettle. We then aged this beer with Madagascar vanilla beans and Nordico coffee beans, and allowed it to age gracefully and develop warming Bourbon notes.

Odd Bird

Odd Bird Brewing

Hoppípolla (6.5% ABV) - Icelandic for “Hopping in puddles”. This new IPA is a perfect one for the transition of Winter to Spring and the messy joyfulness that goes with it.

Brewed with an experimental hop that we fell in love with in our New Hop PA series, and a lightened up Catbird malt bill, this IPA is just bright and tropical with a clean dry finish.

Readington Brewing

Lumberjack Sap 🍁 (7.1% ABV) - This Ale is created entirely with sap tapped from the maple trees on our property. Malty / Toffee / Woody / Slight Smoke

Haze Bro Intervention (6.5% ABV) - our newest beer is a Cold IPA

Draught Diversions: Hunterdon County Beer Trail

The Tap Takeover: A "Craft" Beer Blog

Beer Trails” or promotional efforts for breweries located in a county or region aren’t new. For one of my Birthday Beer Tours, my wife took me on the Bucks County Ale Trail in neighboring PA. With the maturation, growth, and evolution of the beer scene in New Jersey Beer over the past decade, and most importantly over the last 5 years or so. As of this writing (according to New Jersey Craft Beer), New Jersey can boast are over 100 breweries, and 150 including brewpubs. In other words, the time is ripe for some official “Beer Trails” in New Jersey to be promoted. Laws and bills are being enacted to relax some of the stringent laws in New Jersey.
