ROOTED IN FAITH, TRADITION, AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Dear Members of the St. Francis Borgia Family,

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! We are so humbled and appreciative of the support we received from our school community for our annual Legacy Gala. Nearly 400 of you were there, shrugging off the February showers, to join in the celebration and continue the legacy of support for our school. Your incredible generosity was especially evident in our Fund-A-Need, which directly contributed to our enhanced security camera system, for which we raised almost $135,000 - $60,000 more than our goal! This is a testament to the impact of your support. Again, thank you so much.

In early March, we hosted over 100 incoming students on Freshman Night, at which they set up class schedules and learned about activities such as the Luke 18 retreat, which will be their formal introduction to Borgia in August. Many members of this class are legacy students with parents, grandparents, and, in a few cases, great-grandparents who attended SFBHS. We are excited to welcome this new class to campus.

Last week, we had our annual Faculty Prayer Day, this time at the beautiful St. Ann Parish in Clover Bottom. Led by Fr. Donald Morris, our chaplain; Amanda Wunderlich, our Director of Campus Ministry; and Tammy Chumley, Evangelization and Pastoral Ministry Coordinator for the Western Vicariate and colleagues from the Archdiocese, it was a wonderful day of prayer and reflection, a great reminder of the gift of our calling, and an opportunity for a renewed sense of purpose.

As we approach the end of the academic year, we are eagerly looking forward to our upcoming graduation - now less than two months away. Despite facing the challenges of a pandemic, this senior class has shown resilience and determination. We are excited to see what the future holds for this group of students and wish them the best of luck. May the light of God shine on them always.

Have a wonderful spring!

Sincerely,

Matt Schutte
President
