What started as a project born while waiting on the arrival of her twins has now blossomed into a thriving business for Owner Susan McRae. After having stores in Concord, Landis, and another area of downtown Kannapolis, this home and gift store has found the home its owner prayed she would find.

Former NASCAR driver Michael Waltrip has expanded his beer and lifestyle brand with the opening of the Michael Waltrip Taproom in Concord. Beers on tap include Waltrip's signature brews such as MW Bristol Sunshine, MW Wheelman Brown Ale, and MW Talladega "Light."

🌟⚾ Cannon Ballers Swing Big for a Special Cause

Starry Night is a full day of activities including a 5K, evening ballgame, silent auction, lantern ceremony, and fireworks!

Saturday, August 19th is a big day at Atrium Health Ballpark as the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers offer a full lineup of activities to raise funds and awareness for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Last year’s event raised over $30,000.

👟 The Shooting Star 5K begins at 9am and finishes on the field with a lap around the bases including home plate! Registration includes a performance 5K t-shirt and ticket to the Starry Night baseball game that evening!

🎆 Get tickets for the Starry Night baseball game at 7pm with post-game fireworks. A special lantern ceremony also follows the game that honors families fighting the battle and shows that our entire community is behind them in support.

The Community Free Clinic (CFC) has an open invitation to the 23rd annual Festival of Tables fundraiser on Sept. 29th at McGill Baptist Church. The luncheon supports the CFC’s mission to provide vital healthcare and medications at no charge for low-income uninsured adults in Cabarrus County.

🍽️ Table Hosts decorate with a theme that highlights an experience or passion. Gift cards, items, tickets, and décor are all part of each table – all for bidding in a silent auction by in-person and online guests. See photos from the 2023 FOT.
