Career development resources available on OPAportal
Many of our members may be working on finding professional opportunities - part-time jobs, internships, full-time jobs, applying to graduate school, and more. To provide support, we have added new resources to OPAportal.

You can find these resources by visiting More>Files>Files Shared By Staff>Career Development or by clicking the link below. There you'll find subfolders with advice on careers and Covid-19 tips, general career advice, LinkedIn tips, and resume tips. Suggestions for additional folders are welcome!

Please reach out to careerdev@omegaphialpha.org with suggestions for folders, or professional development resources that you think are worth sharing!
Convention Legislation available for review
The legislative proposals voting delegates will be considering and voting upon at convention in July are now available for review. These proposals include revisions to Omega Phi Alpha’s national constitution and bylaws submitted by individual members, chapters, or committees. It is important that voting delegates discuss these amendments with fellow members because all ratified amendments to the national constitution and bylaws take effect upon the final adjournment of Convention. Awards applications now open!
Awards applications are now available to all members on OPAportal! Be sure to check out our NEW awards to nominate someone deserving of recognition. To view and submit applications, log in to OPAportal and click More > Files Shared with Members > Awards Applications. If you have any questions, email Shannon Davis at awards@omegaphialpha.org.
Interested in being elected to our Board of Directors?
The Nominations Committee is now seeking candidates interested in running for election to our Board of Directors. The application is open through May 20. The Nominations Committee will review all applications and a slate of nominees will be announced ahead of Convention 2021 this summer. On July 10, convention delegates will elect leaders to fill each of the five Board of Directors positions: President, Vice President of Communications, Vice President of Programs, Vice President of Lifetime Membership, and Vice President of Finance.
