Volunteer Appreciation
Omega Phi Alpha exists thanks to the lifetime members who volunteer their time and talents to keep the organization going. For over 50 years, the day-to-day operations of Omega Phi Alpha were run by volunteer leaders from within the organization and our part-time contracted national office administrator. Even with additional paid contractors in recent years, the progress the sorority has made has been reliant on our volunteers. Service
Our collegiate chapters and members completed over 21,000 hours of service this semester through hundreds of service projects. Three chapters hosted successful events to raise awareness or funds for Ukraine (Omega, Alpha Iota, and Alpha Theta).
Chapter Updates
Alpha Iota Supports Ukraine
Alpha Iota Chapter at Notre Dame of Maryland University was awarded a $350 grant from their successful participation in the national service project that benefitted Ronald McDonald House Charities to use towards a future service project. They put the funds to quick use and hosted a fundraiser for NOVA Ukraine and IFAW. Read all about their success below.

Volunteer for the Omega Phi Alpha Foundation Board of Directors!
The Foundation Board of Directors will be experiencing a full turnover of members this year due to term limits and resignations. The Sorority Board is seeking members who are interested in joining the Foundation Board to advance the philanthropic mission of the 501(c)(3) arm of the organization. The Golden Chevron
All chapters have been invited to submit a page for the newest publication that is launching at Omega Phi Alpha's 2022 Convention. Chapter officers should check their email for the latest information. All members are invited to submit a sister spotlight using this form. Missed the news about The Golden Chevron? 2022 Awards
Applications for Omega Phi Alpha's awards are now open and can be found under Files on OPAportal. All members are invited to nominate fellow members and chapters for awards. Award applications close on June 1st and June 15th (depending on the award). Winners will be announced during the Awards Gala at Convention on July 16, 2022.
Last Call for Convention Registration!
Omega Phi Alpha is headed to Texas! Join your sisters in Fort Worth July 13-16 for our biennial convention, and dust off your boots for a convention unlike any other. As always, meet new sisters, visit those you know, serve the local community and have FUN! Register for the entire convention or Saturday-only by June 10th.
Alumni Town Hall for Review of Legislative Proposals
All legislation that will be considered by voting delegates at convention is now available for your review. Our next legislative review session is for alumni. Join your convention delegates and legislation authors on June 16 at 8:30pm ET.
