U.S. Congressman Rob Menendez recently stopped by the Main Library to learn more about the upcoming renovation. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the story of this long-awaited transformation with one of our community's leaders and answer some of our most asked questions.

The Main Library is temporarily closed for planned renovations. The 2nd and 3rd floors and lower level are scheduled to reopen October 5, with the first floor and mezzanine reopening at a later date.
The Grand Street Branch will remain open throughout the renovation, with regular services and programs available. Book lockers and book drops at the Main Library, Grand Street Branch, and Hoboken Historical Museum will also remain available 24/7 for convenient returns.

Where can YOU find Story Time?
While the Main Library undergoes renovation through October 4, the library is taking its beloved story time programming into the parks and open spaces of Hoboken.
And don't forget, indoor story times continue at the Grand Street Branch throughout the renovation, so there is never a shortage of stories, songs, and smiles no matter the weather.
Please note that in case of inclement weather, outdoor story times will move inside. Check the full schedule below to find the story time that works best for you and your little one!

This week, we focus on a contemporary South African artist you may not have encountered before: Werner Bronkhorst, whose work combines meticulous, hyper-realistic detail with bold, abstract backgrounds and a wonderfully quirky sense of humor.
Taking inspiration from his distinctive style, students will create their own mixed works that play with the tension between realism and abstraction.
All materials are provided, all skill levels are welcome, and the class is available both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.

This is one tribute experience you actually want to sign up for.

Navigating unemployment benefits can be overwhelming, and the library is here to help.
The library's Social Work Department is offering free Unemployment Insurance Enrollment Assistance, with staff on hand to guide you through the application process and answer any questions along the way. To attend, please bring a valid ID, your Social Security number, and any documents related to your work history in New Jersey.
