Harvesting the Past

Agricultural Records at the New York State Archives

As a crucial source of historical information, these records offer valuable insights into New York State’s development spanning multiple arenas – economically, politically, and socially to name a few. The agricultural records at the New York State Archives also provide a better understanding of how agriculture evolved over time and further reveals how New York State farms have adapted to changing environmental conditions, market demands, and technological advancements.
