The Horror Writers Association's New York Chapter is bringing a panel of accomplished horror authors to the library for a conversation that pulls back the curtain on the craft of fear.
James Chambers, Teel James Glenn, Carol Gyzander, and Christopher Ryan will share their journeys into the genre, exploring how they tap into the psychology of readers' fears to build the plots, characters, and worlds that keep pages turning. Whether you're a devoted horror reader or an aspiring writer looking to find your way into the genre, this is a rare and compelling evening with some of the sharpest voices in contemporary horror fiction.

Ahoy, Hoboken! The Grand Street Branch is officially treasure hunting territory, and every young pirate in the city is invited to claim their share of the loot. Grab your best pirate patch, round up your crew, and set sail for an afternoon of swashbuckling fun featuring pirate-themed crafts, books, treats, and real treasure waiting to be found. Whether your little one is a seasoned sea captain or a first-time buccaneer, there's adventure around every corner and bounty enough for all.

| Questions about the Renovation? | |
Last week, we announced that we are kicking off the next phase of renovations at the Main Library. This phase will renovate the first floor and mezzanine. What does this mean for library users? The main library will be temporarily closed between August 13-October 4. After this initial phase, we plan to reopen the second, third, and lower level. Work will continue on the first floor and mezzanine, which will remain closed to the public during this period.
Our Grand street branch will be open and fully accessible, as will our book lockers. Please check out our FAQs for answers to your questions.
