Here are highlights:

Food from New Chefs — From a pig roasted overnight on site with inspired sauces by Powhatan's Chef Michael Stotler of Stotler's Home Cooking to exquisite locally raised Wagyu smoked beef brisket and grillers cooked by Pitmaster Curtis Brushwood in an onsite smoker to Texan-style tri-tip on fresh pressed tortillas by Pitmaster Ryan Maynes (pictured above) of the uber-popular The Smoky Mug, there's something for every palate. And let's not forget the tempting desserts, including a smoked bourbon pecan pie by Chef Caitlin Ventura and a pumpkin pot de crème by Chef Michael Pierce from 1933 Catering. That's just a sampling!

The Tent—the place to be for dining, dancing and drinks! We're offering reserved tables for 8 (along with VIP parking) for those who want to make sure they can sit with their friends, a smattering of 3-person tables for those who want to take a quick break, and food stations placed around the tent. A full bar (one of three!), live music from the Taters, dancing, games and an auction where you can 'bid and win' one of 5 great lots.  All in support of Habitat for Humanity – Powhatan.

Bars—Two drink tickets per person are included. Should you desire more, you can purchase additional drinks at any of the three bars stocked with gin, vodka, scotch and bourbon, in addition to beer and wine. Soft drinks and water are complimentary.

Distilleries—Complimentary tastings (and the ability to purchase a bottle to take home with you) from

·       Powhatan's Three Crosses Distilling Company

·       Richmond's Reservoir Distillery

·       Newport News’ Ironclad Distillery

And Upping the Fun:

·       Visit our photo op area where you and your friends can take selfies and share the fun.

·       Try Axe Throwing, Race Mechanical Pigs, and Ring Toss. The first person to hit a bull's eye on their first throw wins a free axe-throwing session at Virginia Axe Company!

·       Play the 'sunglasses on, sunglasses off' game—it's fun and light-hearted, and the last person standing wins a $500 Best of Powhatan gift basket.

·

So, tell your friends, buy your tickets and show your support for Habitat for Humanity-Powhatan. Can't wait to see you there with a speedy check-in to get you to the fun faster!

Home Dedication Sunday Oct. 20

Last year's Build Bash helped to fuel the renovation of our latest home and affordable mortgage for Powhatan Social Services employee Rachel Tomlin. The before-and-after is magical. It is the first home that we have done a top-to-bottom redo on. Interested in attending, please email me!

ReStore On the Hunt

for New Site

While its definitely still business as usual at 1922 Urbine Road, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 10 to 4, we are still searching for a new location by summer 2025. Learn why and how you may be able to help us here. If you know of an already commercially zoned property or property that is appropriate for rezoning that may be right, please contact us.
