Grandparents & Special Persons Day!

Parent Connection & Conversation: The Anxious Generation 

Do you notice any differences between your own childhood and what your children are experiencing today? The upcoming generation is unique in so many wonderful ways, but the “play-based childhood” that many of us remember so fondly, is said to have been replaced with a “phone-based childhood.” 

Join us for another parent opportunity for community and conversation to discuss Jonathan Haidt’s book, the Anxious Generation. Whether you have read the book, or you are interested in hearing about how the "Great Rewiring of Childhood" is affecting students’ social & neurological development, come to listen and discuss. We will chat about how social media has a different effect on boys and girls, and how, as a community of educators and parents, St. B’s can continue to champion childhood.

We will have 2 identical sessions for your convenience: 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 and 8:45 A.M. on Friday, March 28, 2025 both in the Nave.

At Home STEAM Challenge Opportunity!

Can you build a rocket-catching device to help a falling rocket land vertically without crashing? The higher the falling distance, and the fewer materials you use to build it, the higher your score. Students across the globe are invited to try the 2025 Engineering Challenge and submit their results by March 17, 2025, to be entered (where eligible) in random drawings for $10,000 in prizes.

Stingers Squad Announcements

Recycled Materials Supply Drive

Stingers Squad is collecting materials to make upcycled art! There will be a box at the Stingers Squad door to drop off any donations and we’d love for you to keep dropping off materials for the rest of the school year so we can continue this project in the summer.

We are requesting:

• Paper towel, toilet paper, wrapping paper tubes
• Old crayons, colored pencils
• Old markers, highlighters, craft paint (if not dried up)
• Pipe cleaners, buttons, googly eyes, glitter, sequins, pom poms, beads, ribbon, yarn, twine (i.e. any leftover art supplies you want to get rid of!)
• Wooden dowels, skewers (any length)
• Tape, glue, glue sticks, glue dots
• Paper (poster board, construction paper, card stock, plain, fancy, anything!)
• Small paper/plastic cups, muffin liners, small paper plates, bottle caps
• Painting canvases
• Old magazines

Chapel services for the 2024 - 2025 school year:

• 1st/2nd/3rd - Tuesdays at 8:20 A.M.
• 4th/5th - Wednesdays at 8:20 A.M.
• PK3/PK4/K - Wednesdays at 9:15 A.M.
• 6th/7th/8th - Thursdays at 8:20 A.M.

If you are a parent attending Chapel, please park at the Hive or South Campus. For parents of PK/K students, we ask that you only attend when your child is celebrating a birthday or serving as a chapel helper. The younger children tend to be harder to separate at the end of the service. Thank you for your support.
