Article3How to safely manage your passwords
When helping clients log in to their computer or websites, often I will see them pull out a scratch pad or sticky notes with various passwords scribbled on the page. There's a better and more secure method to record your login information.

For years I've recommended using your own variant of my password system to help you memorize the unique passwords that you use for every device and web site.

I also use a password manager to keep my passwords and often-forgotten information secure and synchronized between devices.

Article3Free and inexpensive backup options means there's no excuse for your data not being backed up

Accidents and disasters happen. Hard drives fail. Portable devices get lost or stolen. New viruses encrypt data then charge ransom to unlock it. Article2Keep your computer secure and up-to-date with our Computer Maintenance Plan

Many of our clients have been asking for a way to keep their computer secure and up-to-date, and not have to worry about the seemingly constant barrage of updates.

CheapSupportDon't rely upon cheap, inexperienced technical support: "You get what you pay for"

Do you have a friend or neighbor who works with computers in their spare time? Similar to hiring an unlicensed contractor to work on your home, it may be cheap to go with a friend or neighbor.

But, does that person actively keep up-to-date with the computer industry and fix several computers on a daily basis like we do?

Computer Techs has been in business since 2003, and our technicians have over 20 years of computer experience. We're a local Reno business that you can trust - not some call center in India or The Phillippines. We're often called to repair what someone else attempted to fix or misrepresented as major computer problems.

The next time you need tech support give us a call. You can count on Computer Techs to get the job done quickly and correctly, and we'll be available the next time you need service.
