Microsoft has been automatically installing Windows 10 on some computers. We don't recommend updating from Windows 7 to Windows 10. If Windows 10 is automatically installed on your computer you can choose "Decline" to stop or rollback the update. For more information about Windows 10...

Don't call a number that pops up on your screen -
it's a scam!

We continue to receive lots of calls about warning messages popping up on the screen alerting the user to call a phone number to fix a problem with the computer. In every instance these are fake - scams solely crafted to scare people into calling the number and persuade them into paying to "fix" computer problems that don't really exist. Please read the articles below so that you'll be familiar with these widespread scams and won't become a victim.

Use Google Photos to manage your pictures

Google Photos was launched in mid-2015 and has since become my favorite photo and video management, backup and sharing service for the web and smartphones. My favorite feature is the ability to search and find photos that contain the following examples: "Hawaii", "snow", "dog", "water", "mountain" or "Julie". Other features include easy sharing of photos via a private sharable link, automatic uploading and backup, and photo editing tools.
