'Tis the season for phony emails from shipping services and online retailers
This time of year we see an increase in phony emails that claim to be UPS/FedEx/Postal parcel delivery notices, or unexpected shipping notices from Amazon and other online retailers. The emails contain an attachment or link to a shipment confirmation. Opening the attachment or clicking on the link in the email can install a virus or ransomware on your computer.
