UPDATES AND INFORMATION
Closed for the Holidays; Time Off Reminder
Hey Faculty and Staff!

Did you know that from December 27-30, university offices will be closed to the public. Employees may choose to take a vacation day, work from home (with approval from the supervisor), or come into the office.
 
There are some exceptions to this notice for areas that support a 24 hour, 7 days a week operation.

Also, don't forget that Christmas and New Years fall on a weekend this year, meaning that you have flexible holiday hours to use up. You should have received an email from UWP’s Human Resources this week regarding how to use those hours – please contact Human Resources @ hr@uwp.edu if you have any questions. 

You can also go to the UW System’s webpage to learn more about leave policies and how to use your leave hours.

De Simone Arena RE-Dedication set for Dec 14
You are invited to join the Parkside community next Tuesday, December 14 to celebrate the rededication of the Alfred & Bernice De Simone Gymnasium as an Arena.

If you are unable to join us for this special event, you can still RSVP and request access to livestream the event, then tune back into this page at 5:00 pm on December 14 to watch the event.

Alumni Association - Wreath Making

The UW-Parkside Alumni Association invites Parkside Alumni to make a 14" holiday wreath with Hawthorn Hollow using natural elements.

This is a free family-friendly event and guests are invited, but please note only one wreath per registration (individual or family). Refreshments will be provided.
Distinguished Alumni Awards - nominations NOW OPEN!
It’s the most wonderful time of year… to nominate an alum for UW-Parkside's 2022 Distinguished Alumni Awards! 
 
The UW-Parkside Distinguished Alumni Awards celebrate and honor the rich legacy of learning and accomplishments by those graduates who have excelled in performed exemplary service to the community. 
 
Do you know an alum who is deserving of this award? UW-Parkside is accepting nominations for its 2022 Distinguished Alumni Awards. Deadline for nominations is February 4, 2022. 
 
Shelter Supply Drive - FINAL DAYS
PEAG is hosting a shelter supply drive for the Fall semester to collect donations for two local shelters - Women's and Children's Horizons (in Kenosha) and HALO (in Racine).

Items needed include:
  • Nonperishable food items
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Paper products
  • Personal care products.

Look for donation bins in both the RITA and the Student Center entrances.
