Dear Winona Family YMCA Family,
At the Winona Family YMCA, the safety and well-being of our members, staff, volunteers and the broader Winona community have always been and will always be a top priority.
The YMCA has been diligently monitoring all national and local updates surrounding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation. Following the recent mandate from Governor Walz’s office and in order to best ensure the health of our entire Y community, the Y is closing its facilities to the public effective November 20 at 8pm for a minimum of four weeks. Our After School Care and virtual programming will continue until further notice.
The Winona Family YMCA has been a pillar of the Winona community for nearly 135 years, through both good and challenging times. The Y will continue to monitor this evolving situation and will work with local officials to determine what future actions will be necessary.
During the closure, the Y will:
Lend out basic fitness equipment to active members, including dumbbells, jump ropes, bands, balls, step benches, hand weights, metal plates and bars (this does not include Body Pump equipment). To request equipment please email Jackie at email@example.com between November 20 and 25 and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Provide free virtual classes. Click here for the schedule
Offer virtual personal training, nutrition services and dance lessons. Please email Jackie at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We hope that members will stay with us through the closure, as we truly need your support. Here are your membership options:
- Keep your membership active to support the YMCA's operations during this uncertain time (no action required)
Place your membership on hold (click here to complete the hold form)
We will provide updates via email, website and Facebook.
Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time. We missed you terribly the first time we were forced to close, and this time will not be any easier.
