2025 House of Delegates Wrap Up

Last week, PAMED held its hybrid House of Delegates (HOD) meeting, bringing together participants both virtually and in person. Delegates discussed and voted on important issues to shape PAMED’s future policies. The event also included networking events, continuing education sessions, and entertainment throughout the weekend. You can now review the resolutions that were adopted, not adopted, or referred back to PAMED’s Board of Trustees for further study.

PAMED and AMA Pick Up Amicus Win in Immunity Case

Earlier today, PAMED and the AMA picked up a win in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on a case in which we had partnered to submit an amici curiae brief. In Wunderly v. St. Luke’s Hospital, et al., a divided Supreme Court determined that the Mental Health Procedures Act had been properly applied to provide St. Luke’s Hospital with immunity from suit under the facts of the case.

Thank you to all who took part in this year’s hybrid HOD meeting and contributed your time and insight to shaping PAMED policy for the year ahead. The Speakers and PAMED deeply appreciate your dedication to medicine and Pennsylvania's physicians.

Now that HOD weekend has wrapped up, here are some key updates and reminders:
