Dear NCHC Basketball Directors, Coaches, and Leaders,

As we officially kick off preparation for the 2026–27 season, we want to start by celebrating an extraordinary, record-shattering milestone for our community.

Over our 36-year history, we have seen incredible growth, proudly hosting over 1,200+ teams each of the past several postseasons. However, the momentum we are seeing right now is completely unprecedented.

To put this in perspective: last year, we had 146 teams sign up in the first 15 days of registration, eventually hitting 991 teams by our September 15th deadline. This year? In just our first 14 days of registration being open, we are already at 991 teams! We are on pace to eclipse 1,000 teams by the end of the day TODAY, completely shattering all previous registration records for the September 15th window!

Coming off a historic season that featured over 1,250 teams competing in the post-season—including 416 teams at Nationals, 253 at Midwest Regionals, 229 at Big South, 103 at Heartland, and massive turnouts at our Districts (TX, LA, & KS)—homeschool basketball is stronger, larger, and more vibrant than at any point in our association’s history. This unprecedented growth is the direct result of your dedication to building programs anchored in Christ-centered character and athletic excellence.

As we prepare for another massive winter, here are your key operational updates and administrative deadlines:

🚨 DEADLINE TODAY: Final Day for Early Bird Discounts!

Today (9/15) is the absolute final day to lock in the Full Early Bird Savings of $100 off per team, per event! Starting tomorrow, we shift to the "Last Chance" discount phase, which drops the savings to $50 per team. Get your registrations in before midnight tonight to maximize your program's savings!

⏳ New Organization Vetting Update

Because of the record numbers, we are currently processing a large wave of new organization requests. If you are a new program waiting to begin the association membership vetting process, our team is actively reviewing these requests and will be responding within the next 24 hours!

• Gulf Coast District: January 15th–16th (Monroe, LA)
• North TX (DFW), South TX (Bryan), & KS River (Wichita) Districts: January 22nd–23rd
• Regionals & Nationals Seeding Game & Form Deadline: January 31st, 2027
• Heartland Regional Championships: February 18th–20th (Overland Park, KS — New Thurs-Sat Premier Facility Scale)
• Midwest Regional Championships: February 24th–26th (Indianapolis — Wed-Fri Premier Facility Scale)
• Big South Regional Championships: February 25th–27th (DFW — Thurs-Sat Premier Facility Scale)
• National Championships: March 15th–19th (Springfield, MO)
