We understand that filing taxes in the U.S. can be confusing. To support you, here are some key reminders from the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) about your 2025 tax filing obligations and available resources.
π Do I Need to File Taxes?
Yes! All international F and J students must submit at least one U.S. tax form, even if you did not work or earn income in 2025.
π How Can I File My Taxes?
Boston University has arranged free access to Sprintax to help you determine:

If you are a nonresident for tax purposes

How to prepare your federal nonresident tax forms
π Use BUβs Sprintax access code: F25BU5000 to prepare your federal return for free. If you need to file a state tax return, Sprintax charges approximately $39 per state.

Key Filing Deadline:
April 15, 2026 β Submit your federal and state tax returns to the IRS by this date.
