  • Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur was established on the slopes of Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1596 and run by the current generation of the same family.

  • Today's wine is their Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc “16eme Generation” from the sensational 2019 vintage, a year the market has moved past long ago.

  • The vineyard is an elevated, low yielding, 6.6 acre plot between Concoeur and Chaux, just west of big guns Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges, this Hautes-Côtes de Nuits offers a premium Burgundy experience without the region's typical 3-4x price.

  • This style is extremely clean, fresh, yet layered and sumptuous as well. It will remind you of a cross between Chassagne-Montrachet and Premier Cru Chablis.

About the Vineyard:
Unoaked Chardonnay from an elevated, low yielding, 6.6 acre plot between Concoeur and Chaux, just west of big guns Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges, this Hautes-Côtes de Nuits offers a premium Burgundy experience without the price premium of many of the named villages. These grapes always seem to create this interesting honey/nettle note on the palate.

Tasting Notes:
The aromas reflect that emphasis on fruit, clean and fresh with notes of apple, melon and citrus, and hints of hawthorn, honeysuckle and white nettle. The palate is crisp and fresh but beautifully rounded, lithe, minerally and long.
