Expansion of Anti-Hate Efforts
The County of Orange recognized 50 Years of Human Relations Commission and increases funding to enhance and expand anti-hate efforts. We thank all the community leaders that worked to raise awareness of the need for more funding for anti-hate efforts, the entire Board of Supervisors for voting for the funding and Supervisor Bartlett for the 50th resolution.

“Discrimination of any kind, against any race, has no place here in Orange County and needs to be addressed on several fronts,” Supervisor Lisa Bartlett. "This action not only highlights the important work of the Orange County Human Relations Commission over the past 50 years, but also serves to strengthen the Commission’s ability to provide critical resources to the residents of Orange County."

February is Black History Month
"Each February, National Black History Month serves as both a celebration and a powerful reminder that Black history is American history, Black culture is American culture, and Black stories are essential to the ongoing story of America — our faults, our struggles, our progress, and our aspirations." - White House briefing on National Black History Month

“We must go upstream to build healthy communities where connection, care and human dignity prevail in our interactions and systems and decrease the need to react to hate and biased motivated behaviors and repairing harm.”- Alison Edwards, CEO of OC Human Relations
