Dear Dr. McCuaig,


On behalf of the Canadian Lymphedema Framework (CLF) and the broader lymphedema care community, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to you for your decade of service as the Co-Chair of Board of Directors for the CLF.


Your leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in advancing the work of the CLF. You have helped foster meaningful progress in lymphedema care, research, and advocacy across Canada. Your dedication has left an indelible mark on the Canadian lymphedema landscape, benefiting countless patients, professionals, and advocates.


Beyond your invaluable contributions to the CLF, we recognize the profound impact you continue to have through your dermatology practice, both in Quebec where you reside, and beyond. Your specialization in pediatric lymphedema is a testament to your passion for improving the lives of children facing this condition. Your expertise and compassionate care have inspired many and set a high standard in the field of lymphedema management.


Though you are stepping down from your role at the CLF, we know your contributions to lymphedema care will continue to benefit the community for years to come. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours and look forward to seeing the ongoing positive impact of your work.

Canadian Lymphedema Framework

The Canadian Lymphedema Framework is thrilled to congratulate Dr. Siba Haykal on her appointment as the new Vice Chair of our Board of Directors. With her leadership and dedication, we are excited for the direction she will take the organization in the coming years.


We would also like to warmly welcome Naomi Dolgoy, PhD as our newest Board Member. Naomi’s expertise and passion for improving care and support for those living with lymphoedema will be invaluable to our efforts.


We look forward to working alongside Siba and Naomi as we continue our mission to make a meaningful impact in the lymphedema community.

Siba Haykal

MD, PhD, FRCS(C), FACS


Dr. Siba Haykal is the Section Chief of Reconstructive Oncology for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery within the Department of Surgery at Yale School of Medicine. She is a double board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She is an acclaimed specialist in microsurgical reconstruction and has research interests in breast reconstructive surgery and vascularized composite allotransplantation.

Naomi Dolgoy

M.OT, CLT, PhD


Dr. Naomi Dolgoy is an Assistant Professor in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta. She is a practising occupational therapist, a certified lymphatic therapist, and a clinical researcher. She received her doctorate degree (PhD) from the University of Alberta; her research focuses primarily on cancer and functional outcomes, including impacts of lymphedema on function, and use of technology in practice.
